Surely the event will focus all around the Sailing School, but we have not forgotten to include recreational activities in the package too. Our Event is designed for people of all ages, as long as they want to have fun experiencing outdoor activities and experience some sailing lessons. Your accommodation will be located close by Bracciano Lake, Italy! Included in the package there are visits to the Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano, to the Italian Air Force Museum at Vigna di Valle, to the stunning Villa Lante and Villa Farnese and much more.
Detailed Program of our Sailing School Vacation in Italy:
First of all, the Sailing lessons will take place for six consecutive days. Initially, there will be some introductory sailing theoretical lessons, simulation exercises and some sailing knots practical lessons. Meantime, the practical sailing lessons on a boat directly on the lake will take place every afternoon from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm from Monday to Friday and as soon as the lessons will come to the end, you will receive a participation certificate. There will be different types of boats used during the sailing lessons, in order to make you practice with different boats. In any case, safety measures will be granted and you will wear a life-jacket for the comfort of a buoyancy aid. All the activities are coordinated by Fiv Certified Instructors.Detailed Itinerary:
DAY 1 ( SATURDAY )
The meeting point for all the participants will be Roma Ostiense, Piazzale dei Partigiani. Here one of our drivers with a minivan will be waiting for you and then he will chauffeur youto the stunning Lazio countryside, near by Lake Bracciano. As soon as the guests' drive will come to a close they will arrive to their hotel in Bracciano area, where they will check into their rooms and enjoy a few moments of relaxation. Being the first day in Italy and the first evening in Bracciano, the driver will be available for the group for a short sightseeing tour in the Bracciano area and for a dinner in a restaurant on the shores of Lake Bracciano.
DAY 2 ( SUNDAY )
The first activity of this day will be a guided group visit to the Odescalchi Castle in Bracciano. Afterwards, your private driver will accompany you to the Sailing School to meet your instructors and enjoy an introductory sailing lesson, followed by a simulator exercise. Then a tasty lunch will be served at the restaurant of the sailing school on the lake. In the afternoon, there is a ferryboat trip on the lake to admire the landscapes and to discover the beautiful town surrounding this location. It's the second largest lake in Lazio Region and one of the major lakes of Italy. At the end of the tour, your driver will accompany you to the hotel, evening and dinner at leisure.
DAY 3 ( MONDAY )
Buongiorno for a new day of your Unique Experience in Italy! The first hours of the day will be dedicated to a lesson on the winds and practice of sailor knots. Afterwards, you will enjoy a light lunch at the School's restaurant. In the afternoon, precisely from 3 pm to 6 pm there will be boat activities on the lake. During the lesson there will also be time to rest on board and refresh yourself with some snacks. As soon as your sailing lessons come to a close, you will enjoy some relaxing moments at the Sailing School prior leaving the venue on board with your private driver, directed to your hotel. Evening and dinner at leisure.
DAY 4 ( TUESDAY )
After breakfast, your driver will accompany you to the Banditaccia Necropolis, an Etruscan Necropolis belonging to the ancient city of Caere located in Cerveteri. The group will enjoy a guided visit of the site with a private tour guide. At the end of the guided tour you will be chauffeured to your School for a light lunch and usual sailing lessons. After the debriefing of the day, your driver will accompany you to the hotel, enjoy the rest of the evening and your dinner completely at leisure.
DAY 5 ( WEDNESDAY )
Your fifth morning in Italy will be dedicated to a guided tour of the beautiful Parco dei Mostri di Bomarzo, also known as Sacro Bosco di Bomarzo. It's a natural park adorned with numerous sculptures of mythological animals, gods and monsters. At lunchtime you will reach the Sailing School where lunch and the usual afternoon boat lessons on the lake await you. At the end of the day, your driver will take you back to the hotel, afternoon at leisure. Dinner not included.
DAY 6 ( THURSDAY )
On Thursday morning, your driver will accompany you between Caprarola and Lake Vico for a guided tour of Palazzo Farnese. This Villa, built for the Farnese family, is one of the best examples of a Mannerist period Residence. An enchanting morning of art and culture! Lunch before the sailing lessons will be light as usual. As your boat activities come to a close, the driver will be ready to take you back to the hotel, where you will have time to relax and to spend the rest of the evening as you wish ( dinner not included).
DAY 7 ( FRIDAY )
On the seventh and last day of your week stay, there will be an evening party to celebrate the achievement of the competence gained during the Sailing Lessons. In the morning, you will visit an incredible 16th century Italian Garden with a private tour guide. During this day lunch will be anticipated and at 3 PM you will be back at the Sailing School on Lake Bracciano. Afterwards, there will be the last sailing lesson of the course which will end at 6 PM. Right after there will be the closing ceremony an each guests will receive an AVB t-shirt and a Sailing School Certificate of Participation. To conclude the course with a nice party, a barbecue will be organized with all the participants and instructors!
DAY 8 ( SATURDAY )
On the last morning of your Sailing School Vacation, check out after breakfast. Then your private driver will take you to the Italian Air Force Museum, the oldest in Italy, for a guided visit. After the visit, you will enjoy a delicious lunch nearby and then your driver will take you back to Roma Ostiense Train Station. Art 1 PRENOTAZIONE:
For further details or to reserve your spot at the event, please email us at booking@greatitalyevents.com specifying the following information: the event you are interested in, name, surname, number of people for whom you want to book, telephone number, any food allergies, intolerances or restrictions, special notes.
Art 2 NECESSARY REQUISITES:
Required swimming ability and medical certification of suitability to practice non-competitive sports (prerequisite for Fiv membership), or even competitive ones, for those who already have them. The medical certificate must be sent with the confirmation of participation in order to obtain the Fiv Registration **.
**The Fiv Membership is mandatory and must be done at least 10 days before the course. The cost of € 15 for the membership is included in the total price of the package. As soon as a guest books, Great Italy Events will send all the data to the Sailing Association of Bracciano so that they can obtain the participant's FIV membership. Those who are already Fiv registered for the year 2022, must send a photocopy of their card to booking@greatitalyevents.com and will receive a refund of € 15 upon their arrival.
There is no dress code for day activities, except for lycra type fabric t-shirt, swim shorts, sun hat, rock or boat shoes, Kway.
Art 3 PAYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
The payment can be done via credit card at the time of booking. You have to specify your credit card details by email at booking@greatitalyevents.com. Otherwise you can make the payment by bank transfer, in this case the bank details will be communicated to the customer directly by the staff of Great Italy Events. After the payment finalization, you will receive a confirmation email which will be valid as a receipt of the booking and payment.
Art 4 CANCELLATION POLICY:
In case of cancellation by the customer, which must be communicated by e-mail atbooking@greatitalyevents.com, the following cancellation policy will be considered valid:
- For cancellations received by Great Italy Events at least 60 days before the starting date of the event: the amount paid by the customer will be immediately re-credited by Great Italy Events to the customer via PayPal (Paypal costs for reimbursement to be paid by the customer).
- A 40% Penalty will be applied for cancellations made from 59 to 7 days before the starting date of the event. Therefore, 40% of the total booking will be retained by Great Italy Events, the remaining 60% will be returned via PayPal to the customer (Paypal costs for reimbursement to be paid by the customer).
- A 100% Penalty will be applied for cancellations made from 6 to 0 days before the start date of the event. Therefore, Great Italy Events will not refund the amount paid at the booking time.
- In case of the cancellation by the Event Organizers, which can take place no later than 45 days before the starting date of the event, the Great Italy Events will refund the amount paid by the customer via PayPal ( in this case the PayPal fees for reimbursement will be paid by the Great Italy Events).
-In case of the event shifting due to force majeure, the event will be postponed to a date to be defined. In this case, guests will not receive a monetary refund but they will receive a Voucher that can be spent for the same event on other dates.
By confirming the reservation and making the payment, you accept the regulations and the program of the event as described.
